Filipino Rebels Infected by DEANfluenza

Singing his latest songs from his 130 MOOD: TRBL Album, Korean RnB singer Kwon Hyuk also known as Dean made the SM North EDSA Sky Dome sizzle with his smooth and sexy voice last August 6.

Thousands of fans from all over the Philippines lined up as early as 3 o’clock in the morning to buy Dean’s album and witness his 1 night only performance which was organized by MCA Music (Universal Records Philippines).

You tube sensation Krissy opened up the show with a few songs. Dean made the fans giggled with his opening song “Put my Hands on you”. It was followed by his latest single “21”. He also performed other songs such as “D (Half Moon)” (featuring Dynamic Duo’s Geako), “What2Do” (featuring CRUSH and Jeff Bernat), “I’m not Sorry” (featuring Eric Bellinger) and “Pour up”.

Before rising to stardom, Dean was a well known song writer and producer for several K-Pop artists. He wrote Exo’s “Black Pearl” and “Unfair” VIXX’s ‘VooDoo Doll” and “Eternity”, Lee Hi’s “World Tour” featuring Song Mino, “Video” featuring Bobby, Heize’s latest song ‘Shut up and Groove” and “July”.

DEAN met his PH Rebels (fan club name) for the first time and thanked them for the long wait. The show ended with a meet and greet.
The huge number of attendees despite of the pouring rain proves that Filipino K-Pop fans also appreciate good music because Dean is not a typical K-Pop singer who dances with fixed choreographies and sing songs written for him. He is indeed a talented young artist who deserves the lime light.
